As Receptionist, you are often the first person the customer sees or speaks within the dealership. As a result, you have an opportunity to make a strong, professional impression on every customer you come in contact with in a way that reflects not only upon the dealership, but upon the entire brand. Your role is to welcome customers to the dealership, to direct them to the person who can best meet their needs and to monitor the flow of customer traffic in the showroom and on the lot.
Depending on your dealership’s size and organization, you may also be called upon to assist in a variety of other activities, including preparing correspondence and making follow-up calls to service customers.
As part of your commitment to deliver an exceptional experience, you are expected to meet or exceed dealership objectives.
- Greeting all customers promptly and professionally.
- Ensuring that customers receive accurate, prompt assistance.
- Acknowledging that assistance during management follow-up calls is essential to the success of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Receptionist, you are expected to treat every customer as you would a guest in your home. the Receptionist’s responsibilities generally include the following:
- Creating a positive first impression.
- Gathering accurate information.
- Responding to customer questions and concerns. creating an engaging work environment. Delivering an exceptional experience.
- Answering dealership group phones, greeting and receiving prospects and customers.
- Directing customers to the correct department, notifying the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introducing the customer to the salesperson.
- Working cooperatively with the sales and other internal teams.
- Communicating with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Typing memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Assisting in scheduling and confirming sales appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
