RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer satisfaction is an integral component of the total customer experience. As a Service Technician, your role is vital to customer satisfaction. The Service Technician’s responsibilities generally include but are not excluded too:

  • Completing repairs and maintenance in a timely fashion. Ensuring that the customer’s vehicle is repaired and maintained both efficiently and seamlessly is a significant aspect of your role.
  • Consistently utilizing our Multi-Point inspection tool at a rate greater than 90%
  • Provide a high quality of work at a productive rate. Completing repairs according to published procedures and following established safety guidelines.
  • Cleaning, tagging and bagging replacement parts
  • Reviewing technical bulletins and service publications as they become available.
  • Attending and participating in the training programs recommended by the Shop Supervisor and management
  • Adhering to warranty policies when assisting other Dealership Team members in completing warranty information
  • Learning and using proper repair methods, including the use of special tools.
  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience. You are expected to treat a customer as you would a guest in your home. This level of service creates a strong and lasting impression on the customer and goes a long way toward creating an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements


  • CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE (no points for moving violations or DUI)
  • Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
  • Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and  specifications
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Post-secondary Automotive Technology degree (preferred) with GPA of  3.0 to 3.5 and 95% attendance rate
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and Operating System
  • One year in a service department (a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Have a New York State Inspection license or attain one within 6  months of employment
